East Bay Love | 2 on 2 All-Styles Battle | Who Will Take It?

This week I bring you “East Bay Love”. It all goes down THIS Friday evening in Jack London Square, Oakland. YAKfilms & thePEOPLE are hosting a special ALL styles 2 on 2 dance battle at this year’s Best of the East Bay Party in Oakland. This dance battle will bring together the Bay Area’s best dancers in Breaking, Popping, Locking, House and Turf styles to compete for the Best of the East Bay title.

Battles begin at 7PM and end at 9PM in Jack London Square main plaza area.

Not your average all styles competition. This event will be hosted outdoors and will also include a few musical guests. The event is free for ALL ages.

Following the battles there will be an after party at the New Parish in Oakland. On the main dance floor, join the ocean of dancing bodies rocking to hard-hitting, soulful rhythms from around the globe both new and classic. Or check out the cyphers where world class urban dance artists representing a variety of styles show-off, experiment, and battle for respect. You might just see old friends or meet some new ones. $ 10 all night but only 5 bucks before 11PM.
