For those who are on the go or just have a short attention span such as myself, I suggest you take a look at EventManagerBlog.com’s “10 Killer Tips On How To Make Your Event Successful”.

Promotion is a huge factor in event production that gets looked over time and time again. People feel a big name will magically draw a crowd but even if the President himself plans to attend my event and I don’t get that word out, no one will know. There is no such thing as over-promotion either - I even googled the subject (we all know Google knows everything) - it doesn’t exist!

Bottom line, if you have an event that you’ve spent months planning, use all of your resources to get the word out. That is my biggest tip for any event planner.
